About the Winterage Weekend

This year, in line with Covid-19 guidelines, most of our events will take place online with some 'real-life' local events which will have to be pre-booked due to the limit on numbers.

What is the Burren Winterage Weekend?

The Burren Winterage Weekend is a community-led initiative that is coordinated by the local landscape charity, the Burrenbeo Trust, with voluntary support from the Burren Irish Farmers Association and the Burren Farming for Conservation Programme.  It runs on a shoestring budget with the support of many individuals donating their time and other local resources, such as venues, to the event. We are also grateful for the support of The Heritage Council and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and FBD Insurance.

The Burrenbeo Trust

The Burrenbeo Trust is a landscape charity dedicated to connecting people and place with the aim to help all of us identify ways in which we care for our places. This is carried out through providing information, education, active conservation and supporting research on the future sustainable management of the Burren region. Support the work of the Trust by becoming a member. See here for more information on who supports us.
